1 Refer to the instructions that come with the scanner to

unpack it and prepare it for use.

2 Ensure that the scanner’s SCSI ID is set to 5.

3 Locate the SCSI connector on the rear of the scanner.

4 If you’re connecting only the scanner to the printer, use the

following procedure. Otherwise, go to step 5.

a Plug the male end of the SCSI terminator into the scanner’s

SCSI connector.

b Attach one end of the SCSI cable to the terminator and the

other end of the cable to the printer.

c Go to step 6.

5 If you’re connecting the scanner and one or more external

SCSI devices to the printer, use the following procedure:

a Plug the daisy chain connector into the scanner.

b Attach one end of the SCSI cable to the daisy chain

connector and the other end of the cable to the SCSI port on

the printer.

c Attach one end of another SCSI cable to the daisy chain

connector.
