6 Make sure the front of the printer is facing the same direction

as the paper deck. Lower the printer onto the three position-

ing pins on the paper deck.

7 Close the paper pickup cover.

8 You may adjust the four paper deck feet so that the printer is

level or allow the printer to rest on the locked casters.

9 Install the option controller board onto the controller board.

Follow the steps in chapter 3, the “Installing the Option Controller

Board” section, of this manual.

10 Connect the data cable to the print engine “Option Control-

ler” output.

This is located on the interface panel at the rear of the printer.

Tighten the thumb screws to ensure a good connection.
