4 Attach the network interface card (NIC).

a Position the NIC so the port slides into the opening you just

created.

b Snap the NIC onto the 80-pin connector on the controller

board.

c Press down on the board gently until it is secured by the 80-

pin connector and by the plastic standoff post.

5 Replace the controller board.

Use the instructions in chapter 2 “Memory and System Software,”

the “Reinstalling the Controller Board” section, of this manual.

6 Secure the NIC to the printer with the two screws you

removed earlier.

7 Reconnect all interface cables and the power cord, and then

turn on the printer.
